An official website of the Velocity Interoperability Network

Press Release

Immigration Department of the Velocity Interoperability Network Established

Office of the Spokesperson

The Immigration Department of the Velocity Interoperability Network has been formally established. The Department is responsible for entry to the Network, the issue of visas to visitors and workers, the issue of passports to citizens of the Network and the register of citizens.

With its establishment complete, the Department today launches its official website at immigration.gov.vin. The site carries the entry rules, the register of points of entry, the six classes of device that must be registered on arrival, the application procedure and fees for visas and a service standard for every document the Department issues. Applications for visitor, work and member staff visas may be made on the site from today.

The Department is organised in four offices: the Office of Entry, the Office of Visas, the Office of Passports and Citizenship and the Office of the Spokesperson. All enquiries are received at a single email address, given on the Contact page, and passed to the office concerned.

Three of the six points of entry named on the register open today. The first passports of the Network will be issued once the procedure for verifying identity in person is in place, and the Department will announce the date in the Newsroom. Performance against every published service standard will be reported each quarter, beginning in December 2026.
