The Immigration Department has published the register of points of entry to the Velocity Interoperability Network. From today, the Network may be entered only at a point named on the register, and every traveller must present a visa or a passport of the Network to an officer of the Department on arrival.

The register names six points of entry: three road crossings, two rail terminals and one gateway at a member site. Two road crossings and one rail terminal open today. The remaining three will open as staff and inspection facilities are put in place, and the register will be updated on the day each opens.

Every point of entry provides document checks, the registration of certified devices and the inspection of declared items. Facilities for the retention and return of items refused entry are provided at the two principal crossings.

The register, the arrival procedure and the opening hours of each point are published on this site under Points of Entry.
